“We went out with Captain Jaren for my partner’s birthday! It was an incredible trip with family. We caught a King Salmon and saw humpback whales, sea lions, and sea otters!
He was aware of our comfort levels. He didn’t bash out to the middle of Sitka Sound. His experience in the waters around Sitka shines here. He knew the weather and the waters so well that he took us a beautiful, scenic way home, weaving around small islands where the waters were calmer.
He was very respectful around the wildlife, keeping a kind distance while still letting us take time to cross off some bucket list critters. (Something I greatly appreciated as a whale enthusiast.)
His boat was clean and comfortable with light snacks.
I will always recommend him to those who want to explore Sitka with a local. And who wants to support a Charter captain who treats the local wildlife with respect and kindness. 10/10.”

“This was a magical lifetime experience! We saw humpback whales dive, float and blow against the beautiful SE Alaskan scenery. Maureen was an amazing captain and guide! She pointed out so much wildlife, sea otters with their babies, tufted puffins, and other native bird species. This was the highlight of our trip. We couldn’t recommend Sea Level Adventures more!! It was sooo cool to be on a smaller boat with 6 people, we were able to maneuver around quickly and get to know the other people on the tour. All in all, such a special experience, exceptional service and super friendly and knowledgeable guides!”
